Directional drilling is a trenchless method of installing underground utilities with minimal disturbance to the surface. Instead of digging an open trench from point A to point B, we drill a controlled path underground and install the new line through the bore.
The process starts with a pilot bore, where a steerable drill head follows a planned path beneath driveways, yards, roads, landscaping, and other obstacles. Once the pilot bore reaches the exit point, the hole is enlarged as needed with a reamer to create enough room for the new utility line.
The new pipe or conduit is then attached to the drill string and pulled back through the bore into place.
Directional drilling allows us to install waterlines and other underground utilities while greatly reducing excavation, restoration, and disruption to the property. It's a clean, efficient solution when traditional trenching isn't the best option.
